Preschool Ministry
Our preschool ministry caters to our littles, ages birth through Pre-K. Our classes are designed to help each child grow in their love and understanding of Jesus Christ and minister to them in a safe, joy-filled environment. We are shaping little hearts to be the Light of the world!
Kids Ministry
Our Kidzone ministry is tailored to kids Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our aim is to disciple and equip kids and parents through various avenues like the AWANA program, small groups, and discussion based teaching. Our desire is to disciple compassionate warriors in the Truth.
The View
Student Ministry
The View at Point View Baptist is a place for students 7th-12th grade to Encounter Christ, Experience Compassion, and Expect Community. We strive to see students connect with Jesus and grow in an intimate relationship with Him! We are a safe place for students to experience compassion and grow in their relationship with Christ.
Wednesday: Students at The View meet on Wednesday at 6pm in the Student Building. Wednesdays are a time for energetic games, powerful biblical teaching, and community-building connect groups.
Sunday: Students at The View meet every Sunday at 9am in the Student Building for fellowship and Bible study.
Men's ministry
The PVBC Men’s Ministry desires to glorify God by encouraging men to be leaders in the home, the church, and the community. Each activity and meeting is designed for men to come together in prayer and Bible Study to learn how God wants them to lead.
Semimonthly Saturdays – Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Join us for a time of breakfast, fellowship, and a challenge – all men are invited to attend!
January – Annual Men’s Conference held at the church
The 1 day out of 360 that will most impact your life! Join other men:
– Breakfast – Powerful Worship and Teaching – Videos – Discipleship
– Laughter – The Beast Feast – Real Man Competition – Encouragement
Other men’s activities such as retreats, service projects and Bible Studies are scheduled at various times throughout the year.
Adult Ministry
We have an active and growing adult ministry that includes adults of all ages! Within our adult ministry, we strive for community and growth in Christ through Sunday school, home Bible study groups and fellowships.
While many of our adult ministries are age specific, we often meet together with adults of all ages so that we can sharpen and edify one another in the love of Christ. The Body of Christ is made up of Believers of all ages and we celebrate that!
Women's Ministry
The women’s ministry at Point View is called Women of Worth. Our desire is to seek the Lord, serve Him together, and strive to become more Christ-like with other believers.
We have events throughout the year including: Bible studies specific to topics women face in everyday life; Mugs & Muffins- a fun time of laughter and fellowship; book clubs in the summer; an annual fall retreat; a Holiday Kickoff; and conferences throughout the year. Watch the bulletin and website for announcements of upcoming events!
Ministry verse is Ephesians 4:1 “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
Senior Adult Ministry
JOY (Just Older Youth)
Our ministry for our senior adults. We meet monthly for Bingo, brunch and fellowship. We also go on outings, to concerts and just love and lift one another up.
We believe that our senior adults are a vital part of the Body of Christ, and have much to offer through mentoring, wisdom and experience.
In addition to ministering to Senior adults within our church, we also minister outside of the walls. We have a monthly ministry with a residential facility in Kaufman in which we visit with the residents, sing hymns, build relationships and share the love of Jesus.
Psalm 71:18 “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.”
Job 12:12 “Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.”
Prayer Ministry
The prayer team’s purpose is to bathe the church, its ministries and the community in prayer.
The team meets every Sunday morning prior to the service to pray specifically for the message that will be preached and the hearts of the congregation to be prepared to receive the message. In addition, we have a weekly prayer time during our Wednesday night services in which we have a prayer bulletin with specific concerns. These requests are prayed over individually and are updated weekly.
The prayer team also hosts an open prayer meetings the 4th Monday of each month that is open to church members, as well as the community.
The team may meet at other times as needed.
Memberships
We believe that the Lord established the local church to help disciple the saved, reach the lost, bear one another’s burdens, as well as serve and love one another. Because of this, we value church membership and all of the blessings and responsibilities attached to it.
WHAT IS THE MEMBERSHIP PROCESS?
Before officially joining Point View Baptist, we ask that anyone interested would meet with a staff member to go over our membership booklet. This booklet speaks of our beliefs, about the mission of our church, as well as answer any questions you may have.
